2012 Volunteer Awards Banquet

New, lower ticket price – for a limited time!

What do you give the volunteer who has given so much to your community? How about an award!

This holiday season, as you’re making your list and checking it twice, be sure to include the many volunteers who work so hard to make your neighborhood a great place to live!

Let them know their efforts are noticed – and appreciated – by submitting them for a VBCCO Award. This is your Community's gift to them. Everyone you submit, all of your neighborhood’s worthy volunteers will be honored publically in front of their peers and presented with an award certificate suitable for framing by the Mayor of Virginia Beach.

Your award winners will also be submitted for consideration in the prestigious Citywide awards.

Each year, the VBCCO presents three main awards:

VBCCO Community Service Award

The Community Service Award is presented annually to individuals who have made significant contributions to their neighborhood or civic league through their volunteer endeavors.

VBCCO Outstanding Youth Award

The Outstanding Youth Award is presented annually to youth who have made significant contributions to their neighborhood or civic league through their volunteer endeavors.

VBCCO Community Action Award

The Community Action Award is presented to communities that have demonstrated exemplary service or innovation in their efforts to better serve their residents.  Examples include development of programs, recruitment of new members, increasing member participation or volunteerism, promoting community spirit, or otherwise improving the community.

So, if you haven’t already started making your list, there’s no time to waste!
