On Thursday, August 10, Councilman Remick held a Town Hall at the Virginia Beach Middle School. Over 100 people were in attendance, and after attending most of these, this was the best Town Hall turnout I have seen. Since this was a District 6 Town Hall, the speakers were focused on the issues in the District such as storm water improvements, Police and Crime statistics, Atlantic Avenue beautification, and Atlantic Park and the Wave Pool. Councilman Remick did state that he was for a Rudee Loop Park “with parking” rather than the development ideas that had been presented earlier this year.
