Terms of Use

Virginia Beach Council of Civic Organizations, Inc.

Effective date: October 8, 2026

1. About These Terms

These Terms of Use apply to the website of the Virginia Beach Council of Civic Organizations, Inc. (“VBCCO,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) at www.vbcco.org, including member accounts and the members-only areas of the site. By using the website, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the website.

2. Who We Are

VBCCO is a nonprofit organization in the Commonwealth of Virginia. We educate civic leagues and homeowners associations about City of Virginia Beach government. VBCCO is an independent organization. It is not part of, and does not speak for, the City of Virginia Beach.

3. Information on This Website

The information on this website is provided for general educational purposes. It is not legal, financial, or professional advice. Information about City meetings, agendas, ordinances, and services can change, and we cannot guarantee that everything on this website is complete or current. For official information, please check with the City of Virginia Beach or the appropriate agency.

4. Member Accounts

  • You must be at least 18 years old to create an account.
  • Please give accurate information when you register and keep it up to date.
  • Each account is for one person. Keep your password private and do not share your login. You are responsible for activity under your account.
  • Tell us right away at officers@vbcco.org if you believe someone has used your account without permission.
  • An account for a civic organization or homeowners association is held by the person the organization names as its representative. That person may add people from the organization to its membership, up to the limit for that membership, and should add only people who belong to the organization and have agreed to be added.

5. Membership and Dues

  • Annual dues are $50.00 for a Civic Organization membership and $25.00 for an Individual membership.
  • A membership lasts one year from the date it begins and must be renewed each year.
  • Dues may be paid online through our payment provider or by check mailed to our P. O. Box. A membership paid by check becomes active when VBCCO receives and records the payment.
  • People added to a Civic Organization membership have access only while that organization’s membership is active. When the organization’s membership expires or ends, their access ends too.
  • Dues are not refundable.
  • Any increase in dues is determined by VBCCO’s Executive Committee and takes effect at the next renewal.

6. Members-Only Content

Members-only pages and materials are for the use of VBCCO members and the people in their member organizations. Please do not share your login, or post members-only materials publicly, without our permission.

7. Information You Send Us

When you submit a form, send us an event for the calendar, or email us, you confirm that the information is accurate and that you have the right to share it, including any information about other people, such as references or voting representatives. You give VBCCO permission to use what you send for the purpose of the form or message. We may edit or decline calendar listings and other submissions. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal information.
